Astronomy on Tap South Bay

Astronomy on Tap (AoT) is an international not-for-profit organization with local “satellite” locations dedicated to a common cause: bringing astronomy enthusiasts of all backgrounds together in a casual environment to talk science. Oh, and to drink beer!

AoT South Bay events are held at Uproar Brewing Company in downtown San Jose, California, typically the last Wednesday of every other month beginning at 7:30 pm. Event attendance is always free of charge and all ages are welcome. Parking validation is available.

Each meeting features guest speakers from local research and educational institutions with ample time for questions and discussion among the AoT community. The presentations are followed with time to play trivia games and to win prizes. Oh, and to drink beer!!

Events are completely free but as a not-for-profit organization we greatly appreciate donations and participation in our raffles to help us make science more accessible to the public and bring you the best possible AoT experience!

SETI Institute scientists Rosalba Bonaccorsi and Franck Marchis will be included in the featured speakers in July.
