SETI Institute at Silicon Valley Comic Con and the Inaugural SpaceBall

This weekend, April 21-23, the SETI Institute will be participating in the Silicon Valley Comic Con (SVCC) as well as hosting our inaugural SpaceBall: An Out of this World Gala on Saturday night and the Hilton San Jose. 

We will be at Booth #530, where you get a pair of free eclipse glasses when you sign up for our e-news, see models of NASA’s SOFIA flying observatory, Kepler, and the Allen Telescope Array, meet SETI Institute scientists, and more. We will also be participating in events throughout SVCC weekend:

Tickets are still available for SpaceBall, which will include a line-up of fast-paced and engaging Lightning Space talks from world class researchers and scientists:

Other out-of-this-world will include Theramin music by Project Pimento, a virtual reality demo from Oculus, a Discovery Dome planetarium, cocktail buffet with astronaut ice cream for dessert, and an auction of out of this world items.
