Greetings
It was a great pleasure to attend this year’s Drake Award ceremony in person, our first “in real life” get-together since the beginning of the pandemic. The room was brimming with the excitement of being able to re-connect with our extended SETI family. Our Institute’s scientists, artist, and supporters mingled, caught up on latest news, and exchanged ideas and insights. The SETI community is diverse, and I’m always so delighted that our artists in residence are part of this vibrant conversation. In this edition of SETI AIR News, we are shining a light on the work of Jordan Holmes, aka DXTR SPITS, whose poetry is both thoughtful and exuberant. If you’ve not yet seen his spoken word piece and music video that were part of the Earth at the Crossroads conference, you’ll find it linked below.
Looking forward to catching up with you all “in real life” again soon,
Bettina
