Greetings
This month we are introducing not only a new artist to the SETI AIR program but also a new AIR division: the affiliate program. Our SETI AIR Affiliates are artists and art organizations who are already in the midst of developing an art-science project but require a “gravitational assist” to get to the next level. Daniela de Paulis’ project “A Signal in Space” is a great example of an affiliate project that is nearly ready to launch. We’ll feature her work later this summer; for now, please visit her new SETI AIR profile.
Also close to launch is SETI AIR alumnus Scott Kildall’s experimental NFT project Exotopia. If you’re in the mood for a vacation, you can purchase a ticket and go on a virtual voyage that explores nearby exoplanets. Keep an eye out at the NYC.NFT conference and mark your calendars for our next SETI Live to find out more.
Enjoy the long summer days,
Bettina

We are delighted to welcome Daniela De Paulis to the SETI AIR program as an SETI AIR Affiliate.
Daniela is a media artist working with experimental practices in live performance, sound and video art. Her work reflects upon notions of reality as presented by the natural sciences, especially radio astronomy, neuroscience and space research. Daniela is a member of the IAA SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Permanent Committee.

NFT Exotopia - a conversation with Scott Kildall
SETI AIR alum Scott Kildall and Bettina Forget will discuss Exotopia, a browser-based storytelling project that invites participants to join imaginary voyages to study alien life on real exoplanets in our galaxy. Each journey uses real scientific data from the SETI Institute to imagine where extraterrestrial life could actually exist. Buy a ticket to take on the role of a space crew member - and you may even be rewarded with airdropped NFTs!
The project launches after NYT.NFT on June 24, 2022
The ORE Network hosted Scott Kildall for an AMA on Twitter Spaces.
