Dr. Quanzhi Ye (pronounced as Ch’üan Chih Yeh) is a planetary astronomer with a primary interest in the small bodies of the Solar System. He is currently an assistant research scientist at the University of Maryland, working on NASA's Planetary Data System Small Bodies Node, and also holds a position as a visiting researcher at Boston University. Dr. Ye received his Bachelor of Science degree from Sun Yat-Sen University in China and his Master's and Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, followed by a postdoctoral position at the California Institute of Technology. His research on the interrelations between asteroids, comets and meteoroids earned him the AAS Division for Planetary Sciences Harold C. Urey Prize in 2023.
