Mauna Loa

Moon Over Mauna Loa
Photographer Harry Durgin hiked up Pu'uhuluhulu cinder cone and patiently waited with friends to get this gorgeous and amazing picture of a cloud-covered Moon over the latest eruption of Hawai'i's Mauna Loa volcano. Mauna Loa is the largest volcano on Earth by both mass and volume and had not erupted for 38 years.
