Shania Nichols is a physicist with a background in gravitational wave detector characterization and astronomy. She completed her BS in Meteorology with an Astronomy minor at the State University of New York at Oswego in 2018 and graduated with her PhD in Physics from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2024. During her time at LSU, she researched loud transient noise in the LIGO gravitational wave observatories and vetted the data quality of gravitational wave candidate signals. In her free time, Shania enjoys yoga, walks with her yorkie, and watching anime.
