Biography

I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the SETI Institute. During my PhD, I used the all-sky imaging capabilities of the Long Wavelength Array (LWA) radio telescope stations in New Mexico, USA to study cosmic and atmospheric transients. In this work, I discovered a new cosmic transient source at 34 MHz through an anti-coincidence search using 2 LWA stations and it's origin is still a mystery. Also, I discovered 100+ meteor radio afterglows (radio emission from meteors below 60 MHz) and they were extensively used to characterize the source properties. For my postdoctoral reseach, I am currently located at NRAO, New Mexico and working on two Very Large Array (VLA) commensal projects, the Commensal Open-Source Multimode Interferometer Cluster (COSMIC) and the VLA Ionospheric and Transient Experiment (VLITE) Fast. In the COSMIC project, I lead the installation of the COSMIC hardware at the VLA site and also develop softwares required to coordinate the data collection from VLA observations and using it for SETI searches. On the VLITE-Fast project, I utilize the P band VLA observations to study FRBs and localize them using imaging techniques.
