The Theory of Everything (TOE) is the holy grail of physics.  Just as all life shares its ancestry with the first living cell, so too would all the phenomena of the universe derive from this hypothesized formulation – including Einstein’s theory of relativity, the laws of quantum mechanics and gravity, the Standard Model for particles, and … well, all those equations you find in a physics textbook. The whole universe would be built on the back of this formula.

String theorist and prolific writer Professor Michio Kaku talks about his latest book, “The God Equation” in this week’s SETI Live.  Will we soon find the blueprint of our universe?
