What’s it like to dedicate your life to work that you may not complete in your lifetime?

Fifteen years ago, filmmaker David Licata focused on four projects and the people behind them in an effort to answer this universal question; the result is the documentary A Life's Work. The film features the SETI Institute's Jill Tarter, who has been at the forefront of the scientific search for extraterrestrial intelligence since the 1970s. The other subjects are  an architect building an experimental community (Paolo Soleri and Arcosanti), a professor trying to rescue rare gospel recordings from oblivion, and a father and son tree farmer's planting young clones of super hardy trees for reforestation projects.

A Life's Work will have its world premiere at the 19th Kansas International Film Festival in Kansas City, KS on November 11, 2019.
