Artist in Residence
-Author and Scholar
Jeremy Colangelo is the author of the story collection Beneath the Statue, as well as stories and poems in many of Canada’s top fiction magazines. He is also a scholar of literature and disability, whose research draws on ideas from critical phenomenology, consciousness studies, epistemic ethics, and critical theory, and focuses on the overlap between epistemology and aesthetics. His recent or in-progress projects include a book on literature and pain, a novel about embodiment and the anthropocene, and an essay imagining different ways to write time-travel narratives and the forms of space-time those narratives imply. His work has been described by one critic as “surrealist science fiction.” He lives in London, Ontario.
