Charles Lindsay is an intermedia artist whose work synthesizes ideas about time, technology, eco-systems and semiotics. He creates immersive environments, sound installations, still and moving pictures, sculptures built from salvaged aerospace and bio-tech equipment. Charles is a Guggenheim Fellow and founder of SETI AIR, the SETI Institute’s Artists in Residence Program. Lindsay’s eighth book of photographs, ‘Recipes for the Mind,’ was released by Terranova / MIT Press late 2019. His work has been profiled by WIRED, Motherboard, ARTonAIR.org, Viralnet, NPR and CNN International. He has lectured and exhibited widely, most recently at TEDx KUA (Kyoto University of the Arts) and at MIT Media Lab’s ‘Beyond the Cradle: envisioning a new space age’ conference.
